The château de Goulaine, memories of the good life in the valley of kings, in the heart of the vignoble de Nantes.
The foundations of the castle are over 1,000 years old. At that time this medieval fortress was responsible for defending the Duchy on the marches of Brittany. Today the visitor can discover a magnificent Renaissance castle built in limestone, dating from the late fifteenth-century. The castle ramparts overlook a mediaeval moat. The large French garden of four acres is surrounded by Goulaine wetlands, 3000 classified acres.
